देवी अनुसूया का पतिव्रता धर्म और भगवान दत्तात्रेय का जन्म

भगवान दत्तात्रेय का जन्म बहुत ही दैवीय परिस्थितियों में हुआ था। जहां त्रिदेव को अनुसूया के पुत्रों के रूप में जाना जाता है। प्रतिष्ठानपुर नामक स्थान में कौशिक नाम का एक ब्राह्मण रहता था।

अपने पापपूर्ण पिछले जन्म के कारण, इस जन्म में, वह एक कोढ़ी बन गया। वह बहुत घमंडी, मतलबी और क्रूर आदमी था। लेकिन उनकी पत्नी सही मायने में एक ऐसी महिला थीं, जो पतिव्रत का जीवन जीती थीं। उसने उसे स्नान कराया, उसे खिलाया, साफ किया और उसके घाव धोए, सामान्य तौर पर, उसने उसे सभी संभव तरीकों से सहज बनाया।

हालाँकि उनके पति ने उनकी परवाह नहीं की, लेकिन वे हमेशा मृदुभाषी रहीं।

एक दिन, कौशिक अपनी पत्नी के कंधे पर बैठा एक यात्रा के लिए बाहर गया था जब ऐसा हुआ कि बीच में एक बड़ा तूफान आ गया। कुछ भी दिखाई नहीं दे रहा था, केवल बिजली चमकने पर अंधेरा बिखर जाता है।

इन दोनों के लिए अज्ञात, एक आदमी एक लकड़ी की छड़ (सुली) पर चढ़ गया था और शीर्ष पर अनिश्चित रूप से झुका हुआ था। जब ये दोनों सुली के पास पहुंचे, तो कौशिक का शरीर उस आदमी को छू गया। जब से उन्हें दर्द महसूस हुआ, उन्होंने चिल्लाकर कौशिक को श्राप दिया कि वह सूर्य उदय पर जीवित नहीं रहेगा।

ब्राह्मणी के पतिव्रत धर्म ने उसे सूर्य के उदय न होने का श्राप देने का पर्याप्त विश्वास दिलाया। अब चारों तरफ अंधेरा था। सूर्योदय के साथ, कोई सुबह की गतिविधि या पूजा नहीं की जा सकती थी। दिन और रात में कोई अंतर नहीं था।

सूर्य की अनुपस्थिति में कोई भी प्रसाद नहीं चढ़ाने से भक्त भूखे रह गए। दिनों, महीनों की गिनती रुक गई। अब अगर यह स्थिति बनी रही तो चारों तरफ तबाही मच जाएगी। रोग और महामारी बढ़ेगी।

भूखे और भयभीत देवता मदद के लिए ब्रह्मा के पास पहुंचे।

ब्रह्मा ने उन्हें देवी अनुसूया से मदद मांगने की सलाह दी। वह भक्तों को उनके दुख से बाहर लाने में सक्षम थे। तो देवता उनके पास गए। वे उनके सेवक बन गए, और उनके अधीन रहे।

देवी अनुसूया ने एक बार उनसे पूछा कि इस व्यवहार के लिए उनके मन में क्या था। भक्तों ने उसे अपनी दुर्दशा सुनाई। उसने वादा किया कि वह मदद करेगी।

देवी अनुसूया ने ब्राह्मणी से संपर्क किया और उनके धर्म की प्रशंसा की। दोनों ने एक-दूसरे की प्रशंसा की।

तब उसने सूर्य के लुप्त होने के विषय पर ध्यान दिया और उसे ब्रह्मांड की स्थिति से अवगत कराया, साथ ही उसे याद दिलाया कि माता को इस श्राप का कारण सूर्य को पता था। उसने ब्राह्मणी से अपने शाप को वापस लेने की अपील की और ब्रह्मांड को पहले की तरह चलने दिया।

उसने ब्राह्मणी से वादा किया कि वह उसके तपोबल के माध्यम से कौशिक को पुनर्जीवित करेगी।

जैसे ही सूर्य उदय हुआ, यहाँ कौशिक ने अपने जीवन को खोना शुरू कर दिया। वह गिरने लगा लेकिन उसकी पत्नी ने उसे रोका। अनुसूया ने अब अपने सतीत्व और पतिव्रत धर्म को विकसित किया।

उसने सर्वशक्तिमान से आह्वान किया कि कौशिक को कोई नुकसान नहीं पहुंचना चाहिए अगर उसने एक भी पाप किए बिना एक पुण्य जीवन का नेतृत्व किया। चूंकि वह सदाचारी अवतार थीं, इसलिए कौशिक को कोई नुकसान नहीं पहुंचा और उनकी बीमारियों से भी उन्हें निजात मिली।

उसके पतिव्रत धर्म की इतनी मजबूत आभा थी कि सर्वशक्तिमान को भी भरोसा करना पड़ा। कौशिक जीवित, नम्र और हार्दिक थे।

देवता हर्षित थे और वे उसे वरदान देकर अपनी प्रशंसा दिखाना चाहते थे।

पहले देवी अनुसुइया अनिच्छुक थी, लेकिन फिर उसने कामना की कि यदि त्रिदेव उसके पुत्र के रूप में पैदा हो सकते हैं, तो वह परम उपहार होगा। त्रिदेव राजी हो गए।

इसलिए त्रिदेव का जन्म उनके पुत्रों के रूप में स्वर्ग के वरदान से हुआ था।

ब्रह्मा का जन्म चंद्रमा, दैनिक दिनचर्या की नींव के रूप में हुआ था। विष्णु दत्तात्रेय के रूप में पैदा हुए थे, ब्रह्मांड का व्यावहारिक पहलू। महेश का जन्म दुर्वासा के रूप में हुआ था, जो बुराई का नाश करने वाले थे।

देवता, ऋषि और सम्राट, सभी दत्तात्रेय की पूजा करते थे।

इंद्र ने प्रार्थना की और दत्तात्रेय से विप्राचिट्टी जैसे राक्षसों को नष्ट करने का आशीर्वाद प्राप्त किया। राजा कर्त्तवीर्य ने केवल साहस, साधुता और विनय के वरदान को प्राप्त करके, एक उदार राजा के रूप में शासन करने के लिए दत्तात्रेय का आशीर्वाद प्राप्त करने के बाद राज्य को स्वीकार कर लिया।

DEVI ANUSUYA'S PATIVRATA DHARMA AND BIRTH OF BHAGWAN DATTATREYA

The birth of Bhagwan Dattatreya was in very divine circumstances. Where the Tridev came to be known as Anusuya's sons. In a place called Pratishthanpur, there lived a Brahmin named Kaushik.

Due to his sinful previous life, in this birth, he became a leper. He was a very arrogant, mean & cruel man. But his wife was truly a lady who lived a life of Pativrata. She bathed him, fed him, cleaned and washed his wounds, in general, she made him comfortable in all the possible ways.

Though her husband did not care for her, she always remained soft-spoken.

One day, Kaushik sitting on his wife's shoulder was outside for a visit when it so happened that midway a huge storm blew. Nothing was visible, Only the darkness shattered when the lightening shone.

Unknown to these two, a man had climbed on a wooden rod (suli) and perched precariously on top. When these two approached the rod, Kaushik's body touched the man. Since he felt pain, he shouted and cursed Kaushik that he would not be alive on Sunrise.

The Pativrata dharma of Brahmani gave her enough confidence to curse the sun not to rise. Now it was dark all around. With no Sunrise, no morning activity or puja could be done. There was no difference between day and night.

The devtas remained hungry since no offerings were made in the absence of Sun. The counting of days, months stopped. Now if this state of affairs continued there would be a disaster all around. Diseases and Pandemic would increase.

The hungry and frightened devtas approached Brahma for help.

Brahma advised them to ask Devi Anusuya for help. She was capable of bringing the devtas out of their misery. So the devtas went to her. They became her sevaks, remained subservient to her.

Devi Anusuya once asked them what was in their mind for this behavior. The devtas narrated their plight to her. She promised that she would help.

Devi Anusuya approached the Brahmani and lovingly praised her Dharma. Both of them admired each other.

Then she broached the subject of the disappearance of the Sun and apprised her about the situation of the universe, and also reminded her that mata knew the reason for this curse to the sun. She appealed to the Brahmani to take back her curse and let the Universe run as before.

She promised the Brahmani that she would revive Kaushik through her Tapobal.

As soon as the Sun came to rise, here Kaushik started losing grip of his life. He started to fall but was prevented by his wife. Anusuya now evoked her Satitva and Pativrata Dharma.

She called upon the Almighty that no harm should come to Kaushik if she had led a virtuous life without committing a single sin. Since she was virtue incarnate, no harm came to Kaushik and he was also cleared of his ailments.

So strong was the aura of her Pativrata dharma that even the almighty had to relent. Kaushik stood alive, hale, and hearty.

The devtas were joyous and they wanted to show their appreciation by granting her a boon.

First Devi Anusuya was reluctant, but then she wished that if only the Tridev could be born as her son's, that would be the ultimate gift. The Tridev agreed.

So the Tridev was born as her Maanas sons by the heavens blessing.

Brahma was born as Chandrama, The foundation of daily routine. Vishnu was born as Dattatreya, The practical aspect of the Universe. Mahesh was born as Durvaasa, The destroyer of evil.

The devtas, Rishi's and Emperors, all worshipped Dattatreya.

Indra prayed and received blessings from Dattatreya to destroy the demons like Viprachitti. King Karteveerya only accepted the kingdom after getting the blessings of Dattatreya to rule as a benevolent King by serving and attaining the boon of courage, saintliness, and modesty.
